Granollers CUP 2025: A Commitment to Sustainability

Granollers CUP 2025 is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the B Greenly certification, officially recognizing it as a sustainable event. This certification highlights the organization’s strong commitment to environmental preservation, the promotion of responsible practices, and alignment with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria.

The event, taking place from Wednesday 25 to Sunday 29 June, will bring together thousands of athletes and fans from around the world across the cities of Granollers, Cardedeu, Les Franqueses del Vallès, and Montornès. The organization is working diligently to minimize the tournament’s environmental impact through concrete actions such as efficient waste management, the promotion of sustainable habits among participants and attendees, and the installation of recycling stations at the various sports venues.

“We are very proud of this certification,” said Pol Blanchart, head of Granollers CUP 2025. “Sustainability is a top priority for us, and we want Granollers CUP to be an example of how sports events can contribute to a more sustainable world.” Blanchart added, “With this certification, we aim to set an example at the national level, acting as a tournament that promotes good practices and inspires other events to follow the same path.”

Meanwhile, Alfred Serra, president of Club BM Granollers, emphasized: “We are very proud to have earned this certification, which recognizes our efforts to create a more sustainable tournament with a forward-thinking vision aligned with today’s environmental challenges.”
