PRESENTATION GRANOLLERS CUP 2025

This Tuesday, June 17, at 1 p.m., the Sala Tarafa in Granollers hosted the official presentation of the Granollers Cup 2025, which this year celebrates its 25th edition, consolidating itself as the largest international handball tournament in southern Europe.

This year's edition will have the participation of 458 teams, divided into 205 female and 253 male. In total, 7,328 athletes will take part: 3,280 girls and 4,048 male players, from Catalonia, Spain and 20 international countries, among which stand out: Argentina, Andorra, Austria, Brazil, Colombia, Croatia, Egypt, Slovenia, Finland, North, Poland, France, Isuán Rico, Sweden, Switzerland and Tunisia.

The matches will be played in various sports facilities in Granollers, Franqueses del Vallès, Canovelles, Montornés del Vallès and Cardedeu, making the region the epicenter of grassroots handball during the days of the tournament.

During the presentation ceremony, the president of the organization, Mr. Alfred Serra highlighted the importance of all the people who have been relevant to reach these 25 years. For his part, the head of Granollers Cup, Mr. Pol Blanchart, has positively valued the international and national participation of the event and the path towards digitization and sustainability of the tournament. Finally, the mayoress of Granollers, Alba Barnusell, has emphasized the importance of the Granollers Cup as an engine of cohesion, projection and promotion of the territory.
The three interventions have coincided in highlighting the value of the Granollers Cup as a sporting and social reference consolidated over 25 years.

As part of this 25th edition, 35 commemorative awards have also been given to people, entities, organizations and institutions that, over the years, have been key to the growth of this benchmark sporting and social event.
