THE GRANOLLERS CUP 2025 IS OPENED!

The Granollers Cup 2025 is now a reality! Yesterday, Wednesday, June 25, the city kicked off a new edition of this international tournament with a massive opening ceremony that filled the streets of the center of Granollers with color, music and sporting spirit.

From 6 p.m., hundreds of teams from all over began to parade from the Plaza de la Porxada to the entrance of the Granollers Sports Palace. Flag in hand, to the rhythm of the batucada and with the energy of the traditional performance of the Xics de Granollers, the city was filled with nationalities, colorful shirts and excitement.

The institutional moment of the evening took place with the symbolic launch of balls by the president of the Club BM Granollers, Mr. Alfred Serra; the mayor of Granollers, Ms. Alba Barnusell; and the sponsors of this 2025 edition: Paulina Buforn and Pol Valera, two leading figures in state handball.

The opening ceremony continued at 9 pm with a show of music, dance and light, which culminated with the lighting of the cauldron by the sponsors, in a gesture that officially symbolizes the start of the tournament.

With this vibrant and participatory ceremony, Granollers reaffirms its status as the international capital of grassroots handball, hosting a competition that brings together thousands of young athletes from around the world every year.
